Implants are artificial tooth roots made of high-tech titanium, suitable for tissue, placed in the jawbone to restore the function and aesthetics of missing teeth.
Implants provide you with a natural smile, ability to speak and effective chewing function.
There is no age limit in implant treatment. It is suitable for patients of all ages. For young people, it is only necessary to wait for the completion of bone development.
In which cases is the implant made?
Missing one or more teeth:
Treating single tooth deficiencies with an implant is more protective than restoring it with a bridge. In order to make a bridge prosthesis, healthy teeth must be reduced and closed. In addition, the replacement of this bridge at regular intervals is a separate economic burden. Instead, the treatment can be completed without damaging the neighboring healthy teeth, thanks to missing teeth or implants to be placed in the cavity of the teeth.
Complete toothlessness:
If there are no teeth left in the mouth, if there is a nauseous reflex and a removable prosthesis cannot be used due to insufficient attachment, it is very easy to make fixed restorations with implant-supported prostheses and to restore the person's natural chewing function, smiling and speaking ability.

1-Inspection and planning
A detailed oral examination is performed to examine the relationship between the gums, the lower and upper jaws, and the teeth. The dentist determines the number of implants to be applied. In addition to classical radiographs, three-dimensional tomography is taken in complicated cases, and the same size model of the jaw is obtained in a special device, and the areas where the implants will be placed are planned with the least error.

2- Implant Placement Operation
For a good treatment, the right planning comes first. Undoubtedly, it is very important that the operation to be carried out afterward is carried out by adequate equipment and an experienced team. Implants are applied with local anesthesia like other dental treatments. However, in some cases, the operation is performed comfortably under general anesthesia or sedation in long operations where the jawbone is not sufficient and tissue addition is required, or in extremely stressed patients. The incision is made over the gum and the slot where the implant will be placed is opened in the bone with appropriate tools. The implant is placed in this slot using special tools. Depending on the number of implants to be applied, the procedure may take between 30-60 minutes.
3-Healing stage
After the implant is placed, it takes a certain time for it to integrate with the bone. This period is an average of 2 months for the lower jaw and 3 months for the upper jaw. During this time, a temporary prosthesis is sometimes applied to the patient. In this way, patients can feed normally with the implants without the direct chewing load.

4- Making Prosthesis
After the healing period is completed and the implant area is completely filled with new bone, the superstructure is placed on the implant. An impression is taken for the pre-planned prosthesis. The prosthesis can be made as a single crown, bridge, partial or full denture.
